I'm running Firefox 3 and i can no longer see the sliding bar of friends movie queues. Anyone else having this issue? I am running adblocker plus, but i don't think that's the issue.
Yep. I'm having that problem, too. I didn't notice because I don't view that page very often. Now I'm wondering what else on NF or even other sites might be goofy.
PS: I'm not using adblocker plus but now that my current ad blocking add-on isn't compatible, I'll look into using that one instead.
I noticed that problem too and re-installed Firefox 3 but that did not help. I wonder if it is a bug or a certain flash add-on that needs to be installed.
I can see it OK with Firefox 2.x Mac. Prolly just a temporary glitch on the site. It happens from time to time. Give it a couple of hours and it'll come around for you, if it hasn't already.

I notice this when I'm viewing the sliders for the new IW titles, that the arrows would disappear. But when I started using IE-Tab, it worked very good.
I've been having the same problem ever since i installed firefox 3 (about one week ago). I'm having no problems when I use IE on the communities page. anyone know of a fix for firefox?
Yea, go back to 2.0.0.14. I've read that there are a lot of issues with the new version. I'm for the most part, hesitant with upgrading to a new version of a browser that I'm heavily dependent on and really enjoy as it is, until there's real positive reviews about the upgrade. In this case, my hesitancy has proven just.
First off, the problem is that Microsoft's Internet Explorer (6 and 7) doesn't follow rigorous HTML standards for web page rendering. Netflix, along with most other websites, just designed features of their sites to follow this non-standard approach. Firefox 2 would also go along with this non-standard stuff. Firefox 3, however, follows the HTML standard much closer, hence the problem. So I assume Netflix will not change their coding just for Firefox 3, when I.E still has most of the browser market.
The simple solution to the problem is to use a Firefox add-on called "I.E. Tab". This Add-on will render web pages within Firefox 2 or 3 using the I.E. rendering logic. The Add-on puts a "IE Tab" button on your Firefox toolbar, which you then click to render the web page you're on using the I.E. logic, not the Firefox logic. Works fine to view queues of Friends.
Thanks, the add-on works. I ended up disabling it though. Firefox 3, with its faults, is still faster. I'm going to mess with it a while and see if I can get the add-on only to work on the friends page and not the whole site itself. I appreciate the fix!
You should be able to add just the url for the page you want in IE Tab Options (on the Tools menu). That's how a lot of us use Watch Instantly without leaving Firefox.
I found that if I add the URL for the page I want then even after I leave that page the browser stays as IE. I did find an easier way though. On the bottom right corner of the browser there should be a small Firefox icon. When you go to the page you want to view in IE just click on the Firefox icon and the browser switches to Internet Explorer viewing properties (and the icon changes an Internet Explorer icon). When you want to go back to Firefox properties, click on the Internet Explorer icon and the browser goes back to Firefox properties. I like the fix because it can all be done from the same page. Thanks again for the help.
Thanks to all of you for this fix to the Netflix/Firefox 3.0 problem. In talking to Netflix support today, I got the impression that this problem is very low priority for them, and was told several times that it works in the browser that has the majority of users, I.E. I also noticed that the condition was brought up in March about the Friends and Faves having a problem with the beta Firefox 3. This fix is simple and works well.
