A Netflix Community

I recently took over a small auditorium on my college campus to use for secret movie nights.

A few nights a week, a group of about 20 of us watch a good movie and a strange one.

Last night was 3:10 to Yuma followed by Battle Royale.

People absolutely loved Battle Royale, both because of its content/violence and it's at-times bad subtitles.

My question is, does anyone know of any other movies that might blow us away (gore? action? sex? whatever) AND make us laugh.

We also watched Heavy Metal which kinda functioned this way, except it got a bit boring for a while.

Perhaps movies like "Killer Klowns from Outer Space?"

Basically, what movies can me and my friends MST3K, that also have some great gore in them?

(Movies like "Slither" are good to as they have the gore and laughs built-in)

I was actually impressed with "Shoot 'Em Up" good none stop action, but totally rediculous at the same time.

I second this. :)

Evil Aliens this has all of the above mentioned that you are looking for. Look no further than this title.

May be stating the obvious here but how about The Legend of Boggy Creek

Demolition Man
Roadhouse

These are two favorite action flicks that I get a good laugh out of everytime... Both guilty pleasures that I can't get enough of.

Be careful pal, Patrick Swayze will totally rip your throat out. Though one could make it a cool double feature with Next of Kin.

My favorites along these lines though would be Repo Man, Better Off Dead, and the amazingly awesome and trashy Maximum Overdrive.

Maximum Overdrive! Love that one. Also reminds me of Big Trouble in Little China. One of my top 10 faves of all time. (So I have taste for poo, sue me :P)

Right on to both of you guys — I knew you had taste! I love Big Trouble as well. We had Maximum Overdrive on Beta, and used to watch it over and over. I actually answered the phone last week and heard "Curtis, is he dead?!?" from my sister in her best Lisa Simpson voice. Love that movie.

Pittsburgh rules. Philly stinks. In the meantime I'm stuck in Harrisburg.

Actually, not even that — in the suburbs of Harrisburg.

Life can be cruel.

Ha! Instead you live out near the likes of me and Trower in the serial killer capital of the world.
HA! I'm pretty sure if you stay out of Pioneer Square and away from the Green River none of those things are of concern.

No wonder something just seems to draw me to Seattle. I thought it was the vacation house my wife's family has on Lopez Island (vacation coming up in June!!! woohoo!). But now I realize its something deeper...and darker.
