Netflix Movie Fans

Broken rentals are one of my pet peeves. I haven't received any broken rentals from GreenCine. I attribute the fact to GreenCine's padded envelopes. I was disappointed when GreenCine did away with them. The only problem I've had with GreenCine so far is missing rentals although I know it's only a matter of time before a broken GreenCine DVD arrives in the mail.

I've received 53 broken rentals (32 Netflix, 21 Blockbuster Online). You can't imagine how aggravating and frustrating my experience has been. I've just learned to accept it: It's part of the online rental experience. In 2006, Netflix claimed one of their rentals is used 20 some times before it "cracks, gets lost or stolen." It seems I was always Netflix's 20th customer.

Maybe you are renting the wrong sort of movies....give Intelliflix a shot and see if you get less breakage...or maybe the postmaster in your area hates the fact that VHS movies went the way of his 8 tracks....hehe
Intelliflix? I am thinking about trying a another service. I like trying different services and comparing them.
I tried Intelliflix .... THEY ARE TERRIBLE ..... but they also had Porn ... So Manual might like that. But They Went Out Of Business .... So Sorry
Intelliflix is very much in business. Plus, it's been recommended by Consumer Reports. Please, let's stay on topic.
the website is up.... but not in business .... back on topic
On August 29, 2007, Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum filed suit against Intelliflix and its owner Christopher Hickey for deceptive advertising and operating without a license.[4] An investigation into the company’s practices had been launched in January 2007 by the Attorney General’s Economic Crimes Division, after it received more than 285 complaints about the company. The investigation found that consumers who attempted to cancel their subscriptions were rebuffed, that Intelliflix’s movie selection and delivery times were far worse than represented on its website, and that the company was unresponsive to complaints.

The lawsuit asked that Intelliflix be permanently enjoined from engaging in the business of online video rental. Intelliflix ceased operations by year’s end, though its website is still active.

The lawsuit also charged the company for failing to register a business license with the state. The company faces fines for violating Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), fines for each year it failed to register its business, and victim restitution.
Sure he delivers them. After he breaks them two pieces :-)
It's a problem with whoever uses the sorting/metering equipment, or they are using old machinery. Case solved. We can now close the topic to further discussion.
I'd like an update from Netflix. If their DVDs survive 20 rentals, how many broken DVDs did they receive last year. How many broken DVDs do they receive per day?
I got alot of Broken Discs when I lived in Minnesota... but when I moved to Tennessee I havent had one Broken Disc
Just looking for a place for a hyper-neurotic wailllllll........ ah that feels better. Each time a movie is lost on it's way to me, arrives cracked or doesn't get back to the center it triggers all those stupid neurotic feelings....

Standing on the desk and screaming - no I didn't decide to keep it, not I didn't break it, no no no - it wasn't me!!!

Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. Out of the last five movies exchanged, one is missing on the way back, one arrived cracked and one never arrived. I would say maybe 35-45% of Netflix transactions are challenged. Not blaming them, but this is driving me crazy and as my hubby says - it ain't a long trip to crazy for me :)

Thank you for the soap box - returning to the land of sane if I can remember the way.

Our distribution center is Albuquerque - need I say more. Maybe we need to move to Tenessee as well - lol. Our personal customers in the great lakes area always ask for super solid packaging as postal service up there is suppose to be like a war zone.
A broken rental isn't fun especially if you anticipated its arrival. I thought Netflix's streaming video was the solution except Netflix seldom streams DVDs I rent.

Wouldn't it be great if we could exchange our broken Netflix DVDs for replacements at our local video store instead of waiting on snail mail?
