hmmmm, you go first marcos.

I'd say session 9, the exorcist (still gets me after several viewings), or Poltergeist.

It really depends on when and where you watch those movies. Session 9 all alone, in the dark, by myself after the wife fell asleep. That was a bad idea.

I watched Poltergeist when I was WAAAAYYY too young. (How the feck is that rated PG?)

I hate the weird subliminal messages and faces flashing throughout that movie. I know it's so cliche to say the poltergeist and exorcist, but, whatever. They freaked me out. Scratch that, they still freak me out and I'm a grown man.

I agree, totally. And as embarrassing as it is to admit, my scariest movie moment was watching the Exorcist on a sunny, Saturday afternoon the day after I moved into a new apartment. It totally freaked me out. I stopped watching in the middle of it and had to leave the apartment.

Jampony: I am so LOL, but I feel you.. it did that to me too. I watched it when it first released, but when I tried watching it againg maybe 5 years ago (ALONE) I could not stay with it. Every second of that movie freaks me. I can't even look at an ad without reacting. I don't watch scary movies any more.

The Thing.

I can't watch it in winter if there is snow on the ground - I'd never sleep.

I second The Thing, still gives me nightmares.

And recently, The Orphanage scared the hell out of me. So terrifying.

Ratz! I missed this in the theaters due to a bum deal with my teenage son and had to take him to the american version of One Missed Call! Blah! Anyways, I'm so looking forward to it's release! I just knew it was going to be good so thanx for confirming the scary to me!!!!

Wow. I thought I was the only one (if you're referring to the John Carpenter version). Saw it at age 14 with a bunch of other kids who thought the film was hilarious. I feigned my horror at the time to play along and not look like a punk, but didn't sleep for a week after that. Still can't watch that movie -- 23 years later.

Hi MarcosC86: two movies equally frighten me. The original B&W Night of the Living Dead; Zombies give me nightmares whre they are always chasing me. The other is The Exorcist, Linda possessed is too real. Yikes

I'm one to say that their is nothing that is actually "scary"............. But I would say the Movie " High Tension " is one of the most on the edge of your seat/scary Movies I've seen in a long long time...... up until the last 5 minutes of the movie... then it turns into one of the worst movies ever.
