I hated the blair witch project, but jacob's ladder was definitely freaky.

TBH, the american remake of the Ring actually scared me the first time I watched it.

Jacob's Ladder is my fav "scarey" flick. Tim Robbins at his finest, and he has blown me away in so many films.

"Night of the Living Dead" is absolutely the scariest movie for me. It scared the socks off me way back then and still does, all these years later. "They're coming to get you, Barbara" is the creepiest line ever uttered in a movie...ever.

Say it isn't so!

I'd have to go with The Shining and Poltergeist as I also saw them when I was way too young. The Shining still spooks me a little bit. I just watched Poltergeist last weekend.

The Korean film A Tale of Two Sisters. A ghost story with an equal psychological element. Beautiful and terrifying.

After that, Pang Brother's The Eye.

I adore A Tale of Two Sisters and I admit that it totally creeped me out while I watched it alone at night for the first time! Also Haute Tension creeped me out alone at night for the first time as well. Both films, imo, are extremely well done!

adding tale of two sisters to my queue.

I really thought The Eye was frightening, too. My wife didn't care for it, though.

A Tale of Two Sisters is one of the absolute creepiest films I've ever seen. I loved it.
