Anyone remember this??

I remembered another film that really creeped me out. The problem...I don't remember the name or the actors or the year--I know that's not much help. I think it was about 7 to 10 years ago. I've only ever seen it on TV once and never seen it shown or advertised again.

Two policemen get called to a house (think it was a townhouse) in an urban environment at night. When they go inside the house they go through all kinds of stuff like avoiding getting killed for awhile. One eventually makes it out alive. The whole time they are in the house a really creepy girl "stalks" them in the shadows and around corners crawling like a spider with her belly side up. And she did it very effective, very creepy manner.

Does this sound the least bit familiar to anyone? (Somewhere, in the cobwebbed parts of my brain, I think it might have been by Spike Lee.) I saw this before I was interested in remembering names of actors, directors, or producers. Thanks for any help!

Thesis

I watched it alone, in my room at 3 AM. I spent the night with my eyes open looking everyone to make sure no one would attack me! I was 15 at the time. I own the movie but have not been able to watch it again since then!

I would have to say the movie that really freaked me out the most was Halloween (Old Version with Jamie Lee Curtis). I watched that movie at 10:00 at night and it really gave me the chills. Another good scary movie that I enjoyed alot was Disturbia.

The Exorcist. I was a teenager and had gone with a friend to see it one night. After the movie I dropped her off at her house and was driving down the feeder road headed home. As I came to a curve in the road, there were some reflective orange triangles set by an area of construction. As the first one popped into my view it scared me so bad I screamed and almost ran off the road.

To say my nerves were raw that night is putting it mildly. Those triangle things are supposed to be for safety but they darn near killed me. I have never since driven alone after a scary movie!

I'm gonna say Carrie.

I saw it at a two-dollar matinee in Brooklyn when I was 13. The movie itself was sufficiently scary, but the audience yelling at the screen and throwing things gives it the nod over any movie I've seen since. I'm pretty sure the final scene set a new record for popcorn and drinks flying off of people's laps.

Would that have been a Grindhouse presentation of the film? Sounds like it from your audience discription. Joy!

I still get chills when I think of some of the scenes in this movie - and it's not a horror flick but rather an Italian language thriller involving a 10 year old boy trying to survive the Mafia out to kill him because of what he knows.

Anyway the title is La Corsa Dell'innocente listed in Netflix as Flight of the Innocent.

Huh, only saw one mention of the King. As a kid, the only movie I couldn't rewatch was Cujo.
