The Shining--The Excorcist and a little known ghost story/mystery w/ george C. Scott called The Changeling. I heard that they're going to re-make it. NOT happy about that............................

I think this is a traditional "scary movie" forum--not some left-wing propaganda garbage................keep the politics out of it, and to yourself

So that the lack of a sense of humor doesn't kill an excellent thread>.>

I'd have to go with the usuals, Exorcist, The Changeling and The Shining still freak me out, probably because I was young and freaked out when I first saw them and not so blase as I am now. Psycho also made me wipe the soap out of my eyes 20 times per shower when I was younger.

The Entity also creeped me out. I think it was mostly because the woman was sexually assaulted by the being and there was really nothing she could do about it. Overall, it's kind of a crappy film, but it definitely made me a little wierded out.

In the last few years it's been more of a scenes thing with, mostly, Asian horror.

Ummm I would have to say that the scariest movie I have ever seen would have to be "The Ring" or maybe "Pet Cemetary" although I cant watch "The Exorcist" alone I get the hebie jebies!

Oh man, Pet Cemetary. I'd forgotten that one, but you're right. Being a mom that movie messed with me on a bunch of different levels. Same with Dawn of the Dead for the same reason. I think I'd have to let my kid eat me, I don't think I could take him out. Maybe put him in a cage and play video games with him like in Shaun of the Dead...lol.

Pet Sematary is one of the few movies I still haven't been able to watch the whole way through. Forgot about that!
