A Netflix Community

List movies that you enjoy that few other people have seen. The rule is that fewer than 10,000 ratings have been given for each film on the Netflix site (this is listed below the star rating on each movie's page). Here are two that I enjoyed to start us off:

Kirikou and the Sorceress
Ivan's Childhood

hah! Another UK horror gem. I just watched it this weekend having had q'd it blindly from someone's recommendation on here, I think. I didn't even know it was supposed to be a (black) comedy when I started it and was pleasantly surprised.

LMAO through the whole thing. Took awhile for the horror element to kick in, but the last 30 minutes really mixed the 2 genres very well.

it's getting unfavorable reviews on imdb. don't know what's wrong with them. i loved it. i thought the ending was unique and twisted.

I've actually seen this. I enjoyed it years ago. Fun animation but not so great music if I remember correctly.

I really like Flight of Dragons, from Rankin & Bass, the same team that did the The Hobbit animated movie. I was actually going to show this one to my fiance since she likes animation, but NF doesn't have it...

I loved the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series but it currently has less than 400 ratings. I wrote a good review trying to bring up the numbers. I would like the series to do well in DVD sales and on Netflix in the faint hope that Cartoon Network might bring it back for a third season. Oh well.

Trying not to repeat any of the fine previous titles.
The World of Henry Orient
Quai des Orfevres
The Big Street (969 ratings? I've had people thank me for recommending it. You have to like Damon Runyon.)
Hail the Conquering Hero (It is Preston Sturges, people! And a comedy appropriate for Memorial Day.)
Easy Living
Pretty Poison
10th Victim
Love Serenade
The Night of the Shooting Stars
Henri Langlois: Phantom of the Cinematheque
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?
The Adventures of Prince Achmed
Lamerica
Leila
Iphigenia
Attack!
Jupiter's Wife
A World Apart
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
The Tales of Hoffman
The Damned Don't Cry
Unfaithfully Yours (Who knew nobody watches Preston Sturges?)
Eva (A lot of people don't like the chic over-the-top madness of Joseph Losey, and this film will either make you a fan or teach you otherwise. Fans of Valley of the Dolls and S&M should get it.)
Walk on the Wild Side
Not For or Against

I think I hit the posting limit. Depressingly, this list could have gone on all night, even though it seems most of my favorite movies have between 10,069 and 14,496 ratings.

Wow....Henry Orient? I rented that on a lark and really enjoyed it. How could everyone afford such plush and spacious NYC apartments back then?

I have Pretty Poison q'd. Looking forward to that one! Can'[t go wrong with HG Clouzot either.

I'll have to go through the rest of your list later and add some more. Nice. Oh, and Preston who? ;-)
