I started a list about 6 or 7 weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to finish it. Like a few of my lists, getting back to them is sometimes harder than compiling them in the first place. Usually, I wouldn't share until it was completed, or at least as complete as I can make it, but I just wanted to get it out there.

Just wondering how familiar you guys are with this area of filmmaking? I'm a bit of a novice and was using the list idea as a chance to explore a new aspect of cinema.

I really like Rain, it's the movie that made me a Joan Crawford fan. I saw it way back when they used to show old movies all night on the local channels. Sigh, those were the days.

The disc containing Baby Face that I was sent by Netflix included two versions, the original and a theatrical release with more cuts. I watched the original version, and I don't remember cuts being obvious in that, though it included an implausible "happy ending."
Did you see this on a Netflix rental disc or from some other source? If others want to see the less censored version, they might want to try for the DVD with both the pre-release and theatrical release versions, and opt to watch the former. -
