What do you think is the worst movie ever made and/or which one do you passionately despise the most?

The worst that I've ever seen is definitely Plan 9 from Outer Space, but I knew that it was supposed to be terrible going in. Bloodrayne is the movie that I talk bad about the most though, since I had never experienced an Uwe Boll masterpiece before.

I like abstract and surreal, it's just personally I can't stand movies about whiny people who make bad choices.. The moment he met Clementine is kept shrieking at the screen, "RUN AWAY FROM THE CRAZY GIRL.."

I missed the 'deepness' amongst the batshit.

It felt exceptionally self indulgent.

I agree, and have always recieved flack from it from nearly every person i've come across. The thing was, I wanted sooo much to like it, as I had heard great things about it and I love Jim Carrey and supported his venture into serious roles. But I just felt lost and alienated by the movie, like it was trying so hard to be creative and deep, but to me just came off as weird for the sake of being weird.

It also sparked my binge hatred of pretentious, annoying indie movies, which around that time included I Heart Huckabees, Garden State, and The Life Aquatic (feel free to flame me for those, too), though this has mostly subsided for now.

I think The Scent of Green Papaya is one of the worst I've ever seen. Most of the movie was the young girl pondering a papaya. It was so pretentious and dull. If they wanted to convey her simplicity or connection with nature or whatever, they could have done it in 5-10 minutes. I usually like foreign films and non-mainstream stuff, but it's got to have a plot and some meaning. This didn't.
Another movie I hated was "The Reaping."
By the way, how do people put hot links in the movies???

I could see how people that don't get in to surrealism would not like this film but it definitely is one of my favorites. Worth a second viewing for sure.

I've never watched it because I've grown weary of Jim Carrey.

That's because he hit his peak in the first season of In Living Color... ;)

Oh thank you. I feel the same way.

wowwee123, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is one of my one-stars too. Then again, after Memento all other movies about memory loss seem kind of pointless. This movie and "24" seems to account for our 24% similarity :)
