I have seen had that domain name come up many times on my history, etc,. Is the NF link one gone now?
Yep, they've set us free - or got rid of us, depending on how you look at it. :)

Horrible! All the Ning hyperlinks are broken.
I'm annoyed. I used to use the link at the Netflix Blog to access this site, and now that's gone. If one Googles "Netflix community," the only link that brings one here on the first page of results is droidmaker's page; most results show up as broken links. If one Googles "Movie Fans," the first page of results brings up unrelated sites plus a dead link for this site.

Of course, it's Netflix's right to not keep the link on their blog or in any way acknowledge the change, but it seems inconsiderate of this segment of their subscribers. I suppose they decided that posts about "long waits--the new norm" weren't good for their image. Besides, the company has already alienated the most ardent cinephiles by doing away with the useful Friends features, so I suppose they don't care about annoying anyone with this change. Clearly social networking is not something they care about.
A link is still on the blog page, it's just not at the top any more. Our community 'badge' appears (with a working link to this site) lower on the page.

Thanks, that's helpful. When I didn't see the link in the usual location on the Netflix blog, I assumed that it had disappeared entirely from that site.
This site will likely get much reduced traffic now. Besides the abrupt change, that link is so easy to pass over. I bet a lot of people are thrown off by this. I was for a number of hours.
Hopefully Droid updated the Google site with the new hostname. I think a lot of people found us by googling "instant watch help" or even "what the name of that movie". Both of those still point to the old link.
That should happen next google crawl...
Yeah, that's what I did. It was just beneath the previous hostname.
That was the original URL, so I suspect my "suspicions" over what happened this weekend were correct. Netflix was moving over to the Amazon 'Cloud" servers... And we didnt get to go with them.

Heck most likely nobody knew there was a subdomain redirect in place....

So what's your take? Is this going to improve Netflix's service?
