Netflix Movie Fans

Hi! I upgraded my Samsung BD-P2550 last Monday to the new firmware that allows HD. Since then, most things have been working fine.

I tried the HD programs. 30 rock had a slight audio delay - enough to be noticeable, but not enough to ruin the experience. Then, I tried to watch The Way We Were and the delay was so bad that you see Barbara Streisand's mouth moving, but you don't hear what she said until the scene has changed and you don't remember what she was doing at the time.

I've tried to reset the player, tried waiting until a different time of day and I"ve tried watching other non-HD programming. The non-HD seems to be perfectly fine. Some other HD programs are fine, no noticiable delay.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Is this happening only to some films? Is there a way to fix it? As hokey as it sounds, I've never seen "The Way We Were" and I'd like to see it.

Yes.
I just picked up the Samsung BD-P2550 about a week a go and noticed it has this problem as well. So is this netflix or samsung problem you think?
Since it only happens on some movies and not all, I'll assume it's a movie specific problem, not a device problem or a general Netflix problem. Interestingly enough, I tried one of the "offending movies" on my laptop and the sound was fine on my laptop but not on my Samsung BD-2550. I normally watch tv shows and they are fine. I've been watching lots of movies this weekend and only 15% of them have this problem. My new AV receiver has a delay feature to help you try to sync the video and audio...but the problem is so severe that I haven't bothered to see if I could use that feature to make the movie watchable. I just move onto diff movies. I read another thread that suggested we report each movie to Netflix because the problem occurs on other devices too.

I think there are different encodes for each of the different devices.
I just tried the movie (almost heroes) that I'm having problems with on my laptop via wireless and it was fine. maybe a samsung problem.

"Well, I'd argue that his feature films like 'The General' have better structured plots."

"Yep. Good one. Must say Keaton's plots all seem almost incidental. He could walk from movie into another without much continuity work. ha"

"The Goat (1921)Not one of the most cohesive plots but has a lot of funny gags and a few iconic Keaton moments like the one at 8'46". I don't quite understand the relevance of the title unless it's short for scapegoat. ★★★★☆ "
