Exit_Through_the_Gift_Shop, could be added as an addendum to my best of 2010 list.

Can't second this nomination enough. Addendum my rectum.

Exit Through the Gift Shop was the most enjoyable film I watched this year.

"Addendum" as in viewed after Dec 17th.

I wasn't hacking on you, I just wanted to say 'rectum.'

Banksy will not be allowed onstage at the Oscars.

If ETTGS wins for best documentary, although he is the director, he cannot accept the award.  Is he planning an Oscar stunt?

My favorite films of the year and not necessarily new releases:

Films:

The Blind Side

Hachi

A Fond Kiss(Scotland)

Walkabout(Australia. l970)=a rewatch.

Days of Glory(French-Algerian)

John Rabe(German-Chinese)

Welcome(French)

Goldfinger(1964)=a rewatch

Gloomy Sunday(Hungary-Germany)

Sabah: A Love Story

The World Unseen(South Africa)

Army Wives(TV series)

Traffik: Disc 1(British TV)

The Pentagon Papers

Documentaries:

The Cove=Award Award winner for best doc 2010.

Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story

30 Days: Season 3(two discs)

Capitalism: A Love Story

Prom Night in Mississippi

Libby, Montana

GasLand

The Most Dangerous Man in America

Plunder: The Crime of Our Time

Andre Rieu: The Flying Dutchman (classical music)

South of the Border

Shanghai Ghetto

Turtles: Happy Together (music)

Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore?

The Farmer's Wife:  Disc 1 (disc 2 is in my queue)

Country Boys (two discs)

Good list macroman, with lots of unique movies to check out.

One film I didn't include on the above list and really liked was:

The Namesake(20069-a rewatch.

A documentary I started watching Dec. 31 and finished Jan 1:

Sharkwater=great documentary on sharks and why killing them, mainly for their fins(shark fin soup), will greatly impact our oxygen supply on land.  This film, made by one diver & biologist, is greatly responsible for starting the save the shark movement.

  Similiar to The Cove.

Walkabout(Australia. l970)=a rewatch.

I'm a Roeg fan but this was pretty disappointing. I heard there was lots of studio interference. I know Roeg movies grow with each viewing but this one had the least impact on me the first go around than any of his others. I love how many Roeg films are on IW, though...

Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story

This is probably one of the most important political documentaries ever made. Certainly the most relevant one I have seen in the last 10 years. Every American needs to peel themselves away from Glee and American Idol and watch this...

Winner of the national Edward R. Murrow Award (outstanding achievement in electronic journalism) , the Polk Award for Excellence in Journalism, and the International Documentary Association’s Donnet Award...Queued.

I just watched Boogey Man and thought it was excellent.  I had forgotten about Atwater's last year.  Shortly after he learned he had a cancerous brain tumor, his face became grotesquely bloated from steroids and his demeanor changed from cocksure to repentant.

Everyone who he screwed along the way, got a note asking for forgiveness.
