Cancelled Netflix — Blog Post — Idiotic marketing with Qwikster — No closed-caption via TiVo.

In a nutshell — Netflix has devolved to become marketing idiots.  There is a law that says: "An idiot can make a much dumber statement than an imbecile — because an imbecile is limited by imbecility.  The "apology" is an oxymoron — not with pure intent — too long — too complicated — too meaningless.  "Qwikster" is idiotic — too many bad subliminal meanings — being screwed by a trickster — fraudster — hustler  really incompetent marketing.  The loss in Netflix's market capitalization — sends a strong message — reverse course — unless arrogance precludes a true, unadulterated apology.

It's also stupid that Netflix does NOT close-caption streaming video with TiVo — for the hearing impaired.  Netflix may end up with a class action lawsuit for violating the Americans With Disabilities Act. TiVo is the leader in video recording — with a footprint everywhere — including Netflix — but Netflix does NOT embrace it — another half-hearted approach to customer satisfaction.  Netflix should emulate leadership — not incompetence!

Interesting — you are a very smart, quick-witted person.
I'm still enjoying what they are able to offer.

An idiot can make a much dumber statement than an imbecile

Where does your post fit in that scheme?

The so-called "apology" was simply dumb — idiotic — from a marketing perspective.

There have been two filed. Right now I cannot find a link that works.

Hacking NetFlix : Netflix Faces Two Class Action Lawsuits over Capt..." target="_blank">Does this link work? No. My note says go to hackingnetflix March 18, 2011 and the link about halfway down the blog. but I cannot get them to copy here.

Third or fourth try <a href="http://www.hackingnetflix.com/2011/03/netflix-faces-two-class-actio...">

ed - Still not sure that will get you to the names of the lawyers.
