Bollocks! It's Hollywood accounting at work again.

The film had a production budget of $90 million and has raked in $232 million worldwide. Granted, that does not include the advertising budget (which is often as big as the production budget), but the movie is not yet out on DVD/Blu-Ray and disc sales are now a bigger source of income for the studios than theaters. Nobody loses money on this one.

No matter what the real story is with the profit/loss on this pic, which I really liked btw, I really hope Fincher moves on to other projects. He is way too good to end up being stuck churning out franchise sequels.

So long as the studios don't cut back on the nudity I'm square with it.
