times. Why NF cannot get their hands on HBO content.

I don't get it. If they're going to let Direct TV offer HBO and other premium channels for free then why not license your content to Netflix.

Because Netflix is different from DirecTV and cable companies in that they produce their own original content. Also, Netflix (in the eyes of HBO) devalues content by offering for a measly 8 bucks 9and refuses to offer tiered pricing plans for premium content.
