wheres all the good movie .....i mean theres a fair share of classic comedys and dramas and such but wheres all the blockbusters netflix???......god awful... and some of the movies i selected are not available for xbox.....you cant tell me this instant queue was just made up last week.....i (we) want some quality new releases and actual blockbusters to be able to watch. how many times can a person watch POTC at worlds end? if im going to be a ongoing subscriber i would appreciate quality films to watch. i dont want to have to deal with dvds in the mail thats why i have a xbox
AND in summation, the IW movies suck ass. And also, Bob Dorka hates his mom for embarrassing him in front of friends when they come over for a star trek pajama party.

This is getting tiresome. Just because Netflix started out as a DVD in the mail service does not mean that is what it still is and continues to strive to be. Now, that is just PART of their service. They are obviously pushing their Instant to TV services, and are partnering with multiple companies/devices to push this service, XBOX being only one of them. A couple others are a Netflix device by Roku, and coming this month Tivo, neither of these devices have DVD players in them, and the service being emphasized is the instant streaming, and not the DVD in the mail. And I don't know about you (as I can't speak, and am not claiming to speak for EVERYONE), but I like the idea of being able to reduce the number of electronic devices I have in my living room, or any room for that matter; and I am sure there are others out there that would agree. We live in a time where wires are being eliminated and hybrid devices are being developed, newer technology allows us to do more with less, and businesses expand their products and/or services to meet the demands this new market generates.
Now just because you (Jebus... AKA bob borka) are not using Netflix for their instant streaming services does not mean others are not. Netflix has a variety of customer types. You don't hear me saying DVD's are rubbish and should be eliminated from their offering. And while I personally don't get why someone would be all jazzed up about audio commentaries or captioning options (unless you are deaf), I can understand that there are people out there who might. I am just stating that if this is a service they are going to go after and market, they might want to consider enhancing that offering to meet the desires of the additional customer base they stand to gain. You mentioned the instant streaming only being 2 years old, well obviously it is here to stay and they are trying to grow that business, and are marketing it as well, so improving this offering only stands to help their business in the long-run. The vast majority of movies on Netflix are only available by mail. So the suggestion would be to have the same instant streaming offering (or at least an offering much closer to it) as their dvd offering. An alternative might be to have a streaming only option at a lower price due to the much more limited offering.
Now while yes, you can find a variety of movies to add to your instant queue for viewing, most of them are movies I have seen before, and it would be nice to see some newer releases available in the instant watch category (similar to the newer releases on their main page as so kindly referenced by Tony), and also if it is available in the instant watch category have it available for all devices. To be honest, I do not feel the need to sit here and site individual examples of the movies in question, as Netflix is well aware what movies are available in which formats. However if Netflix had a survey, or added a button to indicate I would like a specific movie in the instant streaming option (similar to the ability to save a title with a future release date) I would be more than happy to oblige.
In addition Netflix has their cool little "Movies You'll <3" section, and out of my 88 suggestions, only 6 have the instant streaming availability. Just so that you don't need to tax that little brain of yours Jebus, that is less than 7%. So based on the fact that my format of preference is instant streaming, yet the movies they think I would be most interested in are not available in that format indicates that there is some room for them to grow their offering. And I highly doubt that I am unique in my preferences. I would just like to see Netflix look at what they might do to make this great feature better, and meet the needs of this newer customer base they are targeting
You (Jebus) are already a happy customer and are not part of this new market being targeted, so it is completely understandable why you are having such a difficult time wrapping your little brain around these new-fangled concepts. Get over yourself and realize that there is more than one type of Netflix user out there, and one-size does not fit all.
God Damn Man !!! ... Don't you think we would all fucking love to have all their fucking movies available on instant watch !!! Fucking A !! Start using your fucking head !! Fuck Man .. You think that Netflix only has what it does have on Instant Watch because they think that's good enough...
wow, after such a well thought out post by Tig, reading jeldobars post was like getting slapped in the face with bob dorkas man tits. Jeldobar, you are an idiot.
