There are certain Genres that I just don't have a use for. How can I block them?

Fair enough. I don't know of any way of doing that, sorry.
Yes, you can pretty much block them. Just set your: Taste Preferences.
Takes 3.5 minutes if you're quick.
Customer, the one you want to block is under the Cultures category type on the Taste Preferences section. Maybe if you call CS you can get Netflix to list it under "Agenda" instead.
FINALLY! No more of that Latino crap pollutin' my beautiful mind moving forward!!

btw, so according to Netflix, there are only 4 cultures?!
It should be like teeth and herpes: ignore them until they go away, but herpes has retained counsel.

The Cro-Magnon's right about the taste preferences. You can further insulate yourself by manually clicking 'Not Interested' for every movie in the genre you don't want. Neither approach works - and rightfully shouldn't - when you're deliberately browsing new arrivals, but you can improve your suggestions and predicted ratings.
Cro-Magnon is dead. Don't you read the news?
We are all Neanderthal, motherf**kers!
I'm just more-so than most.
So easy a caveman can figure it out :-)
Alright... Thanks to Spiderpig who actually knows what he/she is doing!

It seems that Netflix DOES have an agenda to promote homosexuality as much as possible. It has been very difficult to figure out how to block the offering of movies in this category. It's funny that they list 'Gay and Lesbian' as a genre for browsing and then hide it under 'Cultures' when you are searching to block it. Since when is your sexual preference a culture like being a Hispanic, Jewish, or African-American? Why do they make it so easy to find 'Gay and Lesbian' movies to watch and so hard to find the genre to block? It's because Netflix and Hollywood are trying to shove 'Gay' down our throats!

Dear Netflix and Hollywood... I'm NOT gay... I'm NOT going to turn gay... Those of us who don't live in Hollywood, aren't in movies, aren't actors, aren't dancers or artists don't know a huge percentage of gay people. Get over it already. I think it's time for 'Homosexuals' to start being tolerant of us 'Heterosexuals'!!! Tolerance should be a two-way street!
Sigh. Are you serious, dude? I guess my sarcasm didn't come through very well in my post. I was being facetious! There's no such thing as a gay agenda! You aren't going to "turn gay" by watching a movie and Netflix isn't trying to get you to "catch the gay". I thought maybe you had reconsidered your position since you deleted your other gay-hating post but I see you are persistent with it. You mention tolerance but I'm not seeing it from you.
I totally caught the gay once. It took me like three months to get over it. I don't know what you're talking about SP, it's totally catch-able.
Is true. And Micro moaned so wonderfully!
i hate it when my gay flares up.
