I was channel surfing and saw a brief scene in the middle of a video on Animal Planet the other day. I have been looking for a clip of it to link to so that I can illustrate my point in a discussion in another board. Can anyone help me?

It was a scene of two young eagles, one pecking the other until it fell out of the nest. The narration was about Darwinian survival. Can anyone remember enough about this to send me to a link to a Youtube or other excerpt?

I remember seeing something like that in The Life of Birds.

Try watching this episode, I think it would likely be on it.

I don't think Life of Birds has eagle chicks doing that to each other, but pelicans, if memory serves me right.

It is not the right tape. The one I saw was not David Attenborough and was a much more low-budget production than the BBC series. I think it was an American narrator.

So pelicans aren't good enough, it has to be eagles? :-)

It was the specific narration that interested me.

Yeah, I think it was pelicans. I was just thinking about birds in general.

I haven't seen this nature documentary, but could it be a hawk? Nature: Pale Male
