Yes, though it was original released in the UK as Scrooge, in the US it was released as A Christmas Carol.
Remade many times, of course, this is not the first, nor the last, but certainly by far the best. Alistair Sim, pictured, is the very best Scrooge. (And I'm not just saying this because the movie is the same age as I am. ;-) -
