A Netflix Community

Recently returned a collector edition 1st disc of Fellowship of the Ring instead of the movie I had rented.Called them immediately, they had not received it yet.Asked they return it to me when they received it. Nope, they could not. Yes it was tracked upon receipt, so if they repackaged mine as the returned Cave, the could locate that package ,find my file in the Cave sleeve and return it. Problem? They have no system to do this. My collector series is now incomplete cause they don't care .They won't replace the set, they will give me some kind of credit on my account. Not acceptable. They have gotten to big to care, be careful with them.Don't recommend them to people. I am sending a mass e-mailing to the over 200 friends and family to let them know about it and if they are not members, letting them know not to join Netflicks. I am sending a complaint to the Attorney General and finding other ways to pursue this, but BEWARE, THEY DON'T CARE!! JOIN BLOCKBUSTER OR ANOTHER COMPANY WHO WILL...

IT WAS YOU THAT LEAVES YOUR DVD"S LYING ALL OVER THE PLACE UNPROTECTED...

At least we solved the mystery about who was scratching and scuffing up all the DVDs, so something good has come from this.

Oh man. First, I had to endure watching Twilight because SWMBO wanted to see it. Now, I get home, check Ningflix and see that I missed out on another newbie having a bitchfest. It's just not fair I tells ya.

Alan - going back to watching X-men for the umpteenth time instead.

All three actually. I own X2 and X3 but Xmen only on VHS so I had to get it on Netflix and have a marathon. I still loved the first two and still disappointed by the third.

I know what you mean. I won't watch the third one again. Thought the second was better than the first.

You know, I did something just like this once. I had three discs from netflix, I accidentally sent back my favorite porn movie, "House of Dreams", in one. A half eaten pop tart in the second. And a folded over wad of hundred dollar bills totaling $1600.00 in the third. Can you believe those bassturds dida send any of it back? I got so mad I called them twice and emailed them, at they super secret level three email addy, and telegraphed them to boot. In da end I hadz to go and join Bloxbuster. YUO SUXZ NETFLIXS!!!!

Just for fun.... "mmm baby"

ok, if i leave my purse at starbucks and then go back and someone took it i don't ask starbucks to compensate me. it was my mistake, i didn't pay attention & i need to watch my property.
it's not a fun situation, but there is personal accountability too.
think of all the people too that could just call in and say "i sent my personal copy of x in- send me a copy or give me a credit" - that are dishonest - not so good.
happens at brick and mortar stores too - if you're lucky they'll open the case and check - but not all the time.
and coming from that background - it's embarassing & amusing the, ahem, "personal property" that customers return instead of the correct movie.

*GASP* personal accountability, in this country? What are you thinking silly giraffee? This is the same place that let someone sue and win for not being careful with their hot coffee, not to mention if it had been colder she probably would have had a fit and gotten free coffee and probably a meal. I was almost shocked in today's culture that they actually threw out the fast food made me fat lawsuit. We are not expected to have common sense anymore and if you don't you could be the next winner of the lawsuit lotto.

I love this country I really do I think it is the best in the world (yes I am biased), but the personal accountability, today, makes me hang my head in shame.

Actually, there's a bit more to that McDonald's hot coffee story than meets the eye. There's an entry about it on Wikipedia here.

No I know there is more to it than just hot coffee and she burned herself. Part of the issue was the actual material of her pants which made it worse, part is McD's served atomic hot coffee. Any which way it goes when I have hot anything I am super cautious with it and when I have burned myself badly (yes never that badly) with it I didn't blame anyone but myself. I usually will not open anything hot between my legs like that, they were sitting still take off your seatbelt and move up and use the dashboard to make your coffee, yeah if it spilled it probably would have hit her still but would it have been so bad? If I was clumsy enough to spill hot coffee all over my lap because I am squeezing it with my legs while tugging on its lid I don't think I would have even gone to McD's for medical bills even that badly burned because I should have taken more precautions with something I know could hurt me. That is me though and I don't know for sure because I haven't burned myself to that degree on anyone's coffee. IMO and this is only my opinion I would blame myself for my handling of the hot material not the hot material, but that is me and apparently I am wrong because they found McD's at fault for the coffee being too hot.

Actually one time trying to get a pot pie out of the oven I had my hand go inside of it because of how thick the goo is inside it made the burn much worse. It was miserable and it was basically my whole hand, I never once thought the makers of the pot pie were stupid, I thought my dumb ass could have been more careful. Man that was a hell of burn, even worse than as a child I automatically put my hand out to catch a falling iron, you know that is a reflex I think humans could do without lmao.

You know I was wondering if this thread was still around. I wonder if Ginny got her DVD back after all like that other lady who mailed in a resume CD.
