Recently returned a collector edition 1st disc of Fellowship of the Ring instead of the movie I had rented.Called them immediately, they had not received it yet.Asked they return it to me when they received it. Nope, they could not. Yes it was tracked upon receipt, so if they repackaged mine as the returned Cave, the could locate that package ,find my file in the Cave sleeve and return it. Problem? They have no system to do this. My collector series is now incomplete cause they don't care .They won't replace the set, they will give me some kind of credit on my account. Not acceptable. They have gotten to big to care, be careful with them.Don't recommend them to people. I am sending a mass e-mailing to the over 200 friends and family to let them know about it and if they are not members, letting them know not to join Netflicks. I am sending a complaint to the Attorney General and finding other ways to pursue this, but BEWARE, THEY DON'T CARE!! JOIN BLOCKBUSTER OR ANOTHER COMPANY WHO WILL...

I can't believe this has gone on for five pages. I'm sure Blockbuster by now has given Ginny a party for all the NEW customers she has given them from this. Sorry Ginny, if you're STILL here but YOU screwed up not NETFLIX . And the Attorney General........Please. If it was the original Declaration of Independence , Yeah I'd be contacting Him too but for a DVD, I think file 13 or maybe 86 will be holding you're request.
One last thought.......Ginny. You get more bees with Honey than you do with vinegar. If you're to young to know what that means, well it's just a bunch of words with a meaning that you don't seem to grasp. YET.

you should always check to make sure that you are not sending netflix one of your dvd's instead of theirs. To expect them to send your dvd back, awww hell you know how many dvd's they have to check in and send back out each day. It would be impossible for them to return your dvd back to you. I don't really have any sympathy for you on this. Just be more careful what ya return to netflix next time. To cancel your membership over this is just crazy and enjoy your crappy BB service.

Hello, update is after reporting my situation to the attorney general , Netflix replaced my film. So the "idiot" won against the giant Netflix...you who think you just have to accept how you are treated, keep doing that if it works for you.

But just being an idiot wasn't enough. You also have to be a self-centered pain in the ass who refuses to assume responsibility for her own actions. That's the winning combination. Way to go, ginny!

If that were true, than I would pretty much have everything go my way.

Wow! Our tax dollars at work. As if your state AG didn't have more important things to do. I hope you enjoy Blockbuster while they are still in business. They are on the brink of bankruptcy. It must be the "fantastic" customer service they provide.

lol Sorry but there is no way the Attorney General would get involved in anything like this sooooooooooooooooo that makes you a not very honest person. Oh well, guess the world is full of those! Also seeing how Netflix has never treated this idiot with anything but professionalism and actually I find them to be more apt to bend over backwards when I've had complaints on the phone so I am also more than willing to accept this so called terrible treatment. Mean old Netflix!!!

Ginny... it's good to see that you are actually still around.

There are a couple of burning questions that you never answered in this thread.

Wow. This is the first I've read of the original problem. I can't believe someone made a mistake and has the nerve to demand someone else fix it. My opinion is YOU are responsible for replacing the copy of the movie YOU gave away.

I can't even imagine how much Netflix wound up spending to fix YOUR mistake, let alone all the time and money YOU wasted, and the time and money wasted by your state's Attorney General, for YOUR mistake. Wow.

Ten minutes on Amazon and you've have had your movie replaced for a whole lot less time and money than was wasted with this personal vendetta.

You guys can't for a second actually believe that this person is telling the truth. I'm quite sure any states' attorney would laugh at such a complaint. In these troubled times such a complaint would never even make it through the gauntlet to their desk, and if it did they'd laugh it off as quick as you please. Wow, the OP really is an idiot. I'm mean c'mon, we are talking about someone here who can't even spell "Netflix."

I'm sure AG of Massachusetts had a slow day at the office and thought, "Hey, those guys at Netflix need to learn a lesson!" and sent a very angry letter. Upon seeing that angry letter Reed Hastings & Co. all shook in their pants and immediately rushed down to their large storage house and rummaged through the "wrong returns" pile until they found the OP's precious Collector's Ed. disc. I can just about hear the sigh of relief they drew as they put it in an envelope and made sure to send the disc "Priority Mail" so that they knew it wouldn't get lost or arrive cracked.

Actually, I had a similar experience, but with different results. My mother (who's over 80) mailed back one of her own DVDs by mistake. I didn't think anything could be done, but I called customer service anyway. The CS person told me she could put an entry on the computer noting that the sleeve had the wrong disc. A few days later, my mother had her DVD back.
