Netflix and Xbox 360 some things to consider

I have been a big fan of Xbox 360 since release and the joining of Xbox and Netflix seemed pretty great to me considering i'm an avid movie watcher. There are some issues I think could be addressed that could widen the fan base for this new Xbox option. One is that there needs to be a much newer selection of instant streaming movies that are available through the xbox. Its kind of a shame that netflix has been around this long and they dont offer much in the way of newer movies to select from. Another is the fact that you have to select movies online and you can't do it from your Xbox. What is the point of having a fully interactive Xbox dashboard wich allows you to browse pictures from your pc, video, music all without touching a computer but when you want to use netflix you have to log on to the website.

This topic has been covered in several other threads but basically, Studios don't like instant streaming of new releases, so Netflix offers what it can..

as spin daddy said - Netflix cannot put "new releases" on as studios will not release rights to that content to be shown electronically -
not without paying more ala when you buy it on Itunes, etc.
Don't blame Netflix - if they could obtain the e-rights for you they would.

To the last guy that responded here...You sir or madam are an idiot. The average age of gamers is 25. Video Games are a multi-billion dollar buisness, and xbox 360 is one of the biggest systems out there. The netflx-xbox partnership will prob. make netflix well over 10 mil. in the first year. I think you should get used to the idea of the xbox crowd being here, because nexflix is gonna see the profits skyrocket in the next few months. The wouldnt like loosing the 250,000 new accounts their bound to have...Think About That Douchebag

The latest movies are not necessarily the good ones. There are plenty of great movies available for instant viewing even without the Sony films that have been restricted from the Xbox.
