New shows I watch... What about you?

I thought I'd start a generic thread to post about new series shows that people might be digging on, or "trying" to get into.

With way too much time on my hands (and maybe 20 years of never watching them having "perhaps" created a mini black hole that has recently sucked me into so many...)

Shows that I watch.

Bones 3 (used to be 4) stars... They made Temperance go all "weird" again like in the beginning, ever since Booth had amnesia (yeah I get it but OK, move on with it...)
Castle 4 stars (Nathan & Stana are sexy together :)
Eastwick 3 (maybe 4) stars for silly fun!
Flash Forward 3.5 stars, still digging it...
Fringe 3.5 stars... You gotta like a character named Walter who is not afraid to talk about taking LSD, Green Jello and erections, all in the same sentence LOL!
Ghost Whisperer 3 stars, I liked the older seasons/shows better, its gotten stupid this season.
Nip/Tuck 3 stars, still out there, but you can tell they are running out of ideas!
Sanctuary 4 stars, was sort of sorry to see Magnus daughter get killed off in the 2nd season, or was she?
SGU 3 stars... I wish they would move it along! Its kinda boring....
V 4.5 (first episode) I totally dug it, hope they keep up the pace!

Eureka 3 (was 4) stars... Summer of 2010 (boos at SyFy channel!)

Warehouse 13 3.5 stars... Shooting new episodes March 2010, airs July 2010?!?

OK! Those are mine! What are yours? Or rip my viewing choices to shreds if you like :P Its gotta be better then whiny complaint threads.

I think I'd like it more if they keep it short, only 1 or 2 seasons, planned out from the beginning so it plays out like a long movie that you can watch in segments.

On the whole, I find television fairly mindless and boring. Sure it's entertaining and it sucks you in, but afterwords I usually feel like I wasted my time, I guess the same can be said about most mainstream movies too. My biggest gripes about television the lack of foreign television imported to the US beyond anime and British shows, as well as the lack of more underground television shows (changing now with the invention of the YouTube)

Now I can either go brain dead at 3 am in front of my computer monitor playing stupid games on facebook, or I can FF through commercials and watch shows from the telly!

I agree on the whole make a short season show, but play it out like a movie. They did that with Harper's Island, and I rather enjoyed that one, Harper's Island had only one season with 13 episodes. One or more characters are killed during each episode and all questions are answered in the 13th episode.; ▶ Reply to This

Community - 3 if I am honest 5 just because I do love McHale (btw got picked up for another season) but basically Eastwick reasons for watching, entertaining value is silly fun only.
The Jeff Dunham show - reserving judgement for now, it is better than Demetri Martin's series but so far not by a far margin, I expect a lot from him because his stand up is hilarious
Good Eats - 5+ my favorite cooking show
Burn Notice - 4 to 5 I love the silliness of it considering it is still a serious spy show, love a show that doesn't take itself too seriously and it has Bruce Campbell

You named several I have waiting for me like FlashForward, Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, just don't have much time but I should get rather caught up over winter break. I think that is all I can truly think of right this second, I also have a couple others waiting for me like The Forgotten, White Collar, V. I have plenty to watch that is for sure.; ▶ Reply to This

Lol, I forgot all about cooking shows. I like to watch Man vs Food, one for the "Where the hell does he put all that!?!" and two cause I think Adam is cute :)

I hope they don't cancel Eastwick, though I could see why they would. I'm sure its a limited audience show, but it has a lot of potential if they would just let it develop.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Slappy on November 9, 2009 at 11:31am: Yes I do love Man v Food, makes me remember I also watch No Reservations and Bizzarre Foods, I also watch Dr. G, Wicked Attraction, Most Evil etc but many of those are catching reruns on the weekends while I am doing homework or something I only record some of them.

No I hope not either but apparently anything supernatural has to be on cable or CW to make it, and even then it is iffy.; ▶ Reply to This

I really dig Christian Slater for some reason, but I hated that stupid The Lovely Bones narration each episode of that show had from the dead person they were trying to identify so I stopped watching it.; ▶ Reply to This

I have no idea what "The Forgotten" is... Must be one of the multitude of (what I consider to be) stupid shows the networks fill up the airwaves with.
