Last Week, I decided to visit friends and family for the 4th with the possibility of staying over a week or so depending upon who turned up so I attempted to put my account on hold.

I searched high and low, I'm sure the facility to place an account on hold existed previously, I may be wrong, it may have been Blockbuster. In the event of not finding that option I cancelled my account to place it on hold. I any event, I didn't stay over so reactivated on the 5th, all my queue was still in existence, they had received the last DVD's returned on the 6th so I expected them to ship on the 6th. No, 7th. No, 8th a Sunday, obviously not, 9th. No.

On ringing tonight, 9th June @ 8.45pm they promised to send out tomorrow the 10th. I asked them why, they said they didn't know if the address was right. Pure BS, I used them for 3 years, every week twice a week without a miss, 3 @ a time, that's a lot of DVD's shipped and returned. Somebody is not checking one's console, system, whatever, either that or no link exists between accounting and processing, ie, shipping depot.

It doesn't cut it people, now my titles are on wait, I can't stream, WB falls over, terrestrial TV is el crappo, a storms raging outside and I'm in withdrawal so off to the local Video shop to pay through the nose to watch what I had queued......

Good lourd...get over yourself.

I'm paying for a service. I expect to get what I pay for, don't you?

In the event of not finding that option  I cancelled my account...

Hmmmm. Now I understand.

                                   I cancelled my account

                                         Now I understanded.

now it's another day and still no shipping

Yes I did cancel my account, it's actually a hold, that's neither here nor there, I reactivated on the 5th, it's now the 10th, I am all paid up, not owing and in credit so I expected service at least by the 6th

I'm at a loss as to how you post, I mean you pay for internet but you don't have it, you pay for electricity but it's not cut on, you pay for whatever you pay for but you don't have it. I mean come on, one pays for a service one expects said service unless it's you. Well send your money my way, I'll be your service, but don't expect anything in return.

We can't all have streaming with the poxy internet service in rural America but then again, you don't have it do you.
By the way Pihk, it's not a whine, it's a fact and. Read the post, my address was in question despite them shipping and receiving DVD's over a number of years, why now and why did it stop them shipping. That was my point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some mothers do have them don't they

That was my point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My bad, I thought you were counting out your IQ with exclamation points.

Of course. Also, y'know, shit on occasion does happen, yes?

I used them for 3 years, every week twice a week without a miss, 3 @ a time

And yet, there is one minor hiccup after all that time (on a major holiday, no less) and this necessitates your whiny post?

But hey...whine away if that's what floats yer boat.

I discovered recently that the USPS has a fast and convenient online hold-my-mail. Took a couple of minutes to fill out the hold mail form the first time. I could do it in less than a minute the second time. They deliver the held mail in a bundle on the day requested for resuming delivery.

moors

I've used that a handful of times and each time there's been an issue with it. Sometimes they'll hold some mail but not all (really annoying when you're on the opposite coast for 3 months!). Sometimes they won't resume delivery when they're supposed to. Sometimes they'll wait for you to come pick up the held mail at the PO when you've asked them to deliver the held mail and sometimes it's the other way around. I get our neighbors to pick up our mail, much less hassle.

July 21st. Still not

Really? I'd definitely call them and complain loudly at this point. It's been 2 weeks now, no excuses.
