Netflix Movie Fans

Hello all,

I am trying to find the name of a movie about gargoyles that was made in the 50s or 60s.
The info I have about it is lame at best but I hope it may help jog some memories.

It was about a male and a female.
They werent evil or dangerous they just wanted to be left alone.
They had a child.
It was black and white.

Please dont be overwhelmed by the details.

Thanks,

JOHN.

could this be it? i think its a tv movie from 72'. i've read about it before. vhs costs about 40 bucks.
I remember watching that movie before, Bob. Wow.
I remember a black and white movie about gargoyles. I was probably 6 or 8 yrs old when I saw it, maybe around 1970 on WGN out of Chicago or some other Chicago station. I sure would like to see it again. I remember a scene where some people were in a stationwagon and the gargoyle landed on the roof... I'm thinking they lived in caves? I thought it was very scary. This movie was probably made in the 1950's or 60's. I'm sure it wasn't color or from 1972.

This is the movie I want to find the name of too. When the Gargoyles attacked it seemed like it was in slow motion and I remember the scene landing on top of the station wagon and it was in black and white.

There's an entire group, What's The Name of That Movie?, dedicated to this very purpose. I'd suggest you take it there, the people there are very good at solving these puzzles.
Thanks for the replies,

It wasnt gargoyles from 1972, thats all I ever got to pop up when
I tried to google the movie so It may not contain gargoyles in
the name at all.

I will try the Whats the Name of That Movie? thread.

Once again,
Thanks,

JOHN.
the movie that you are refering to came out in 1972, and one of the actors was cornel wilde and it was a good movie, very scary.
that was the movie and it was very good.
The movie I am refering to is not, I repeat NOT the one made in '72. The movie I am refering to was without a doubt made in the 50's or 60's. It is black and white, not color. The movie may not have even had the name gargoyle in the title, I dont know. There were only three gargoyles, a male, a female, and a child. They did not go out and create mayhem, they only used violence when encroached upon. Everyone has pointed me towards the movie from '72, I watched it, it is not the one I am seeking.
Thanks for your effort renee, it is appreciated.
I remember an old Gargoyle movie. It was in color, and one of those late night monster movies you could find on tv in the 70's. The best part was where the gargoyle grabbed some guy, chewed on him for a bit the spit him out - splat. Classic stuff.
The movie I am hunting for is not a late night monster movie, its close to a family story told from the gargoyles point of view.
my brother in law is looking for this film also, if anyone knows anything it would be grea to hear!
