Playback for this item could not be started?

I'm instantly watching a show on my xbox 360 using the NXE but this error keep showing up "Playback for this item could not be started". Last time this happen I just restarted the xbox and it work but now no matter what I do it never works. I even remove the series and added it but still no luck. I don't want to skip an episode and miss something...anybody think they can help me out? This is a really annoying problem and I was really enjoying the show.

I had a linux computer configured to act as a router and a proxy server running on the machine. I setup a transparent proxy with my machine to intercept port 80 traffic and redirect it to the proxy server.

Well, this turns out to have been the source of my netflix issues. I disabled the firewall rules that intercepted the traffic and redirected it to the proxy server, and all of my netflix instant movies work on my xbox.

If you aren't doing this yourself, your ISP may be doing it. Talk to their technical support to find out if this is the case, and get them to disable it for your connection.; ▶ Reply to This
