Well here we are trying the new Tivo streaming feature. Picked the Orphanage as I had it in my queue for rental but thought why not try it since it's in HD.
53 minutes into it it sputters and stops. After about 30 seconds it resumes only it's dropped to 480p with no sound. I figured it was a buffering problem and the servers were probably getting hammered on the second day of Tivo streaming.
Called support and the had me unplug the TV (I know, this request was far fetched but I humored them, I knew it wasn't a handshake issue) which didn't work of course. They then put me on hold and tried it on their end, sure enough the exact same problem at the same point. They said they'd have to contact the studio for a new stream.
Oh well, at least they acknowledged it. Not the kind of movie you want to have to wait to see the rest of though!
I'm a new Netflix user of only about a month and I gotta say this is a fantastic company (hiccups aside).
