I haven't seen some movies that were released in 2009 that I want to see so my favorites will probably change but these are my favorites so far:

Moon
Inglourious Basterds
Avatar
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
Star Trek
My list so far. Avatar, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Thirst, Watchmen.
Yes, Inglourious Basterds. That movie was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, so even though it sucks, I think it's brilliant
District 9

I can't think of any other 2009 movie I have seen. I am usually way behind on newer movies. Actually looking at a quick release list of 2009 that was the only '09 movie I have seen. I do think regardless when I do get the least bit caught up District 9 will remain in my top 5 for the year easily.

You guys are only listing old movies!!

It's the sort of old crap they only put on Instant Watch. I mean, where's The Avengers?!?

It's in the directive, you must incorporate, incorporate...

I only have a five favorites list and three were documentaries.

The Blind Side

Hachi: A Dog's Tale

The Cove=Best Documentary winner

Food Inc.

The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers

I saw Hachi: A Dog's Tale the other day and it was a pretty good film.  So was the doc, Food Inc. and the Ellsberg film.

I think Basterds is fantastic..
