Last March, over at Western Roundup, we ran a March Madness-style tourney with western films. This year I thought on the Main Forum it might be fun to have a similar style tournament based on tv shows. So I'm compiling Top 100 Lists to start and then trying to narrow to four brackets of 16 TV shows each--64 total. So I'll post some of the lists that I've found and your opinion on what shows should be in the tourney is greatly appreciated.

We'd need to determine the seeding for each bracket also (#1 seed plays #16 in the 1st Round, so there are clear benefits from being a highly seeded team/tv show).

Opinions on what the brackets (thematic) should be is also appreciated.

In the thread itself will be further explanation of the dynamics of the game.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Gus.

FYI - All 3 seasons of Arrested Development will be on Instant Watch starting April 1. It's a good opportunity to see one of the funniest TV shows ever made.
Tonight's March Madness action!!!! (The Elite Eight do battle!!!!)

versus

AND

against

Sorry, I screwed up the schedule.....Final Four is tonight!!!!!!
TD don't be paranoid......I'm pretty sure Rupert is also on your side!

:D

I'm sure Buffy is a good show, just one that I've never seen. I'm a Firefly fan if that counts for anything, though.
Tournament MVP goes to Toxic Don!!!!!

He took Buffy to the Big Dance and almost crowned her princess of the last 25 years of television....he also carried the day for several shows (including Battlestar Galactica) that went far in the tournament!

Thanks to all who played this year....next year's March Madness tournament will be about ???????? (something other than westerns or tv shows!)
Snorii and Aces win the Mr. Plow and Plow King trophies for bringing victory to the Simpsons!!!!

Rest well! You played the game extremely well....I like Futurama alot, too!

"something other than westerns or tv shows!"

Darn, all this Buffymania got me interested in the show. I figured I'd watch it this year and be voting with Toxic next year!

Good job everyone and thanks Gus - this was fun.

I'm going with Dexter and Breaking Bad on my top 5. The actors and concepts of both tv shows are amazing in my opinion.

Did you know that in Breaking Bad, RJ Mitte (who plays Walter Jr. or Flinn) has cerebral palsy (like in his role) ? Click to check more behind the scenes of the show.

Sigh, this was our old March Madness tournament....we didn't do one this year!
