To put it quite exactly:

Your opinion is wrong, Knalds. Shove it up your ass.

I just rewatched it last year - it's still terrific.  Every performance, the dialog, critically beautiful photography.

And then there's a fully naked Paula Prentiss to consider.

Inferior shit.

Yes, I grant a naked Paula Prentiss can disturb one's judgment. But it's still shit.

Then I proudly consider my judgement disturbed.  ;)

Ha - I stopped by here to see what everyone was watching and end up with two solid recommendations. Catch-22 is going into my queue, as well as the bio on Woody Allen.

Those are both worth watching.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Catch-22 - Of course, you should see it. But it's not within light years of the book. It is, in fact, overblown and overproduced shit. Good cast, though.

If you wanna roll around in gaudy character assassination, see Love and Betrayal, a TV-movie about Mia Farrow and Woody Allen. It's told entirely from Mia's point of view, with Allen delineated as a weasley little asshole. It's outrageously unfair, and I don't blame Allen-ites for denouncing it.

Since I can't stand Allen and most of his movies, I had a great time watching it.

Allen is a weasley little asshole.

You guys keep me in stitches, but the points are well-taken. Thanks!

Call Northside 777--Jimmy Stewart plays a Chicago newspaper writer, who tries to help a guy in prison falsely convicted of murder.  I enjoyed the way this movie was shot and era.

House of Games--David Mamet film. Good dialogue, and fairly good acting.  The movie is a bit odd either in the acting or direction that sets the tone of the film, which is not Hollywood or a bit indie, though that didn't bother me, and I got caught up in the story.

I love both films.

Call Northside 777 does have a few loose threads that trouble me. I hesitate to mention them since I don't wanna spoil the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it.
