Cant exactly remember the details but the movie was about flying and ended with a boy on a plane i guess for ever..

How about "Radio Flyer" (1992)? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105211/
This movie is about a boy being abused by his stepfather so badly he and his brother built this airplane and the movie ends with the boy flying all over the world sending postcards back home to let his mother and brother know where's he at. I'm hoping this is the movie you were looking for.
