Fox has given Joss Whedon's Dollhouse the ax after getting a second season by the skin of its teeth due to its cult following. They're expected to finish the 13 episode order and Whedon wants to go out with a bang giving the show a real grand finale.

All produced episodes of Dollhouse will begin airing on December 4th

Oh Kao....congrats!!!!

I have seen every episode of Buffy and Firefly numerous times. (It actually is my work out material...the time just flies by). Hope you love this new series too!

so technically the Nielsen people should count me once for each of those shows, right? But I'll be out and not watching any of the three as they air, either.

I think this is the problem though I don't think they do count Tivo/DVR, especially because you don't have to watch the paid advertising not like most do anyway they just watch something else for 3-5 minutes. I think it is why we see more and more shows (some really good) going off the air after a season maybe two. One article I read a couple weeks ago made it sound like even if they do track iTunes/Hulu etc that they do not count it towards the ratings. I wish I could find it darn it, if I do I will bring it back here to share.

I hope Dollhouse is as good as it should be. I like the idea behind it and think they could do really great things with that as a story. I do admit a little fear that it will suck.

They do have a seperate counting for Tivo and it's not counted in the ratings, but networks do take that information.

Terminator was one of the most DVR'ed during its first season, and one of the reasons FOX gave it another chance.

Who is that woman and why does she breathe through her mouth? She looks like a blow up doll.

Looks interesting to me. Hope they make enough shows to get it out on DVD after it gets canceled.

You're in luck. Whedon is finishing up the final four episodes of a 13-episode slate.

Sweet.

Nervous. Whedon can "miss" a bit (some of Buffy, Angel), but it sounds promising. It also is on Fox, which is a major issue. Hopefully they give it time (HA HA HA). Cheers.

Can't believe no one came back here with an opinion!!

I loved it, thought it was good. Now I have got something worthy to watch on Friday nights!

I think that is why it was done that way. I think it drew us in and now we will get a little more background each episode.

I am in love with Eliza though, so maybe I am a tad biased. I can tell you I had great dreams the last few nights! ; )

My husband and I watched the first ep together and he only made it about halfway through. I soldiered on only out of my fangirl devotion to Joss Whedon. I wish I could have seen the original pilot that Joss created instead of this horrible mashup. What on earth are they thinking starting like this? I will stick with it a few more episodes to see where they are going, but so far I am not impressed. They should have shown more background on Echo's character before she joined the Dollhouse so we would be able to at least care what happens to her. Yes, I'm curious as to why she joined, but if they had just said the reason from the start I think I would be more invested by the end of the first episode.

As for the premise, I still don't buy it. I didn't get the explanation that the rich clients will always want "more". I get that guys would pay for an escort, but a rich handsome dude? Seriously he has to pay for an "active" to have a fun weekend? Why not just get a high priced regular escort or some reality show starlet of the month? And your daughter is kidnapped and you put her life on the line and let a "fake" handle the negotiation? Um, no. As a parent, I would never do that.

Like I said I'll give it another few episodes, but I'm not really impressed. Boo.
