Netflix Movie Fans

One thing that really irritates me about Netflix and Blockbuster is they don't ship movies on Saturday. If you ship movies on Friday, it won't be processed until Monday and you won't get your next movie until at least Tuesday. This limit the number of movies that I can get in a month. Netflix should ship movies on Saturday in order to get us better service.

Six days per week employees cost more money. Would you be willing to pay more for your monthly subscription? If so, I'm certain you're in the minority.
Ever hear of shifts? You know, night, day, different days, weekends? Honest, I am telling you the truth......lots of large companies do this....particularly service companies who don;t have their head up their (fill in word of your choice).
Whether you do shifts or not, if you need "x" number of employees to handle the incoming movies of a 5 day/40 hour work week, a 6 day/48 hour work week would require either overtime or they would have to hire more employees to add the Saturday shifts. We probably all know what its like to have extra hours added to a work load without the extra employees to help handle the load. Its miserable being part of a workforce that is spread so thin that the managers spend their time "cracking the whip" in your face to try and get more work done with less help. If NF is a responsible employer, they would have to raise the number of employees in order to add Saturday, raising costs. If we all were able to watch MORE movies as a result, the end result would also add to their costs. I can't imagine that not filtering down to the customers somehow!
Doesn't really bother me. Helps me guarantee a spot for the new movies that come out on Tuesday :)
Like the other person said it gets me the new releases on Tuesday. I'm used to it now , my system is in place and it works for me. My suggestion to you is to up your movie total per month to compensate if it's that big a deal. That way you pay more and not everybody else.
I second that motion. Netflix should be open Saturday.
your mom should make my breakfast on saturdays
i like my eggs sunny side up
So JD .... That will now be 2 breakfast orders ... better go ahead and wake her up a little early
Oh hell, give her a hit of speed and keep her up constantly.
Just got a notification that Netflix processed this Saturday the DVDs I returned Friday, and shipped 4 more for Monday!
First time ever, no previous announcement so I don't know if it's a one-time only mistake, a trial or the new deal... Anyone?
Chimel, NF started shipping on Saturdays out of a few processing centers a few months ago. I know the Santa Ana, CA center is processing on Saturdays and there have been posts about others. Maybe your shipping facility just started.
