Netflix Movie Fans

i had netflix for about 6 mos, i did enjoy the instant streaming on my xbox 360.
from what i hear microsoft is going to add a browser on the 360, so i dont need
to add movies from the PC. i will get netflflix again if they offer a streaming only price.

i had the plan that offered the one dvd with streaming, never ordered a dvd though cause im too lazy to drop dvd's off, just wondering if anyone has heard anything new about a streaming only price?

You mean something like this?

Please note: It's only the Starz Play section of IW you'll get access to, but at least it doesn't involve any of those burdensome DVD's you have to return all the time,
Ah, of course! I was completely forgetting it was supposed to stream to an Xbox... I was thinking PC. But from what the OP writes there is a PC involved, so maybe it would still be useful?
""A Netflix ready device cannot be used with this plan"

Which IMO makes no sense whatsoever.
"

I could see how it could make sense for Starz. Since Starz is basically an extra tier TV cable channel, if you could stream to TV via Roku for $8/month, that might be undercutting their basic business of getting subscriptions to their cable channel.
But for just a little more- 1 dvd at a time unlimited- no need for DVDs at all - unlimited streaming of both starz and all other providers.
thats true//
I agree the # 1 DVD out at-a-time
+ unlimited instant watching
$8.99 a month
would be the plan to go with. You don't have to bother with DVD's at all.
You can add movies to your instant queue. No movies in your queue and they won't mail you a DVD.

I love instant watch and would not give it up now that I have used it. I would give up cable before I gave up instant watch on my Roku.
What's the hassle with "dropping off" DVD's? You live in the Little House on the Prairie? Or on a college campus or something?
To each their way of watching :-)
The point is the regular plan is cheap, and no "hassle" of dropping of DVD's in a mailbox. Just let one sit there for months and watch streaming movies.

I don't see them getting much cheaper on the monthly plans just for streaming. I'm already amazed out how cheap my Blu-ray plus unlimited streaming plan is at 10.99.
Just let one sit there for months and watch streaming movies.

Yep I'm doing that right now- one at a time with a dvd sitting with me and watching streaming titles.
earlier this year there was an article which netflix said by the end of this yr or beginning of next they expected to have a streaming only package
Just an fyi on the Browser on the xbox360 its not going to have full access to all the instant movies on the 360. For example it will have a top 100 of drama, and a top 100 of sci-fi and so on and so on to pick from on the 360 so if you want ALL the instant movies to pick from you will need the pc . But hey its a goooood start for the xbox360.
