I have to whole-heartedly agree on the points of Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, and Renee Zellweger. I was so glad when Katie Holmes wasn't in The Dark Knight. I think Angelia Jolie does OK in movies that she poses more than acts. The less lines she has the better. If she just has to shoot things or show what an attitude she has, then she fits the bill.
None of those are my big two though. Probably most folks will disagree, but I cannot stand to watch Samuel L. Jackson in anything. I ♥'ed the Iron Man movie, but after seeing he is going to be in the next one, I don't really even want to see it. Eck...My other is Christina Ricci. I know most people seem to like her as well, but she really makes me itch. Every time I see a preview for Black Snake Moan with the two of them together I have to skip it. Either one of them have the ability to ruin a movie for me.
I fully agree with most of the choices here. Although I do like Kevin Cosnter, I loved Waterworld and The Postmen and Robin Hood. Three of his worst movies I know, please don't hate me.
There are a number of actors who's name in the cast is enough to stop me from watching a movie. In no particular order they are.......
Lorenzo Lamas, Bruce Boxleitner, Mario Pebbles, Nia Peeples, David Caruso, Melissa Gilbert, Steven Segal, and Molly Ringwald
I did watch The Stand even though Ringwald was in it, but only because I am a die hard King fan. And she irritated me the whole eight hours and really ruined a great character.
Will Smith is definitely on my list but I think it's primarily because of the projects he chooses. While I tend to avoid his movies if at all possible, I don't think he's the worst actor ever. That honor goes to Keanu Reeves.
I am surprised to hear that. Well, not totally seeing everyone has such different taste. I have always been a Will Smith fan though. I like how he can play some goofy messed up parts like in Hancock, but still be able to pull off something like Enemy of the State.
Alicia Silverstone, on the other hand...she's not my favorite, but I can watch her in some things. I thought she fit the part in Blast from the Past pretty well.
LOL...and YES! Steven Segal is almost as bad as Samuel L. Jackson!
Come on... he was so good in Pulp Fiction, how can you hate on him when he has that one on his resume?
Ohhh, you are really going to boo me when I say I couldn't stand that movie. I don't think I've ever enjoyed much of anything Quentin Tarantino has had his fingers in. I don't mind violence in movies when it is a needed part of the storyline, kind of like Martin Scorsese's style. Tarantino's style just reminds me of a couple of stoners sitting in a back room saying, "Hehe like wouldn't be funny if this guy got his arm ripped off? Yeah, let's put that in a movie somehow." It just isn't for me.
