Thanks for being gently. My hubby is the same way, he hates it when I watch Leo movies....but I cannot help it. Something about him just rubs me the right way.
Everyone was fantastic in What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Good writing and directing, I believe, can do wonders for a poor actor. But a good actor can bring writing and directing to a whole new level. Actors who turn into divas often have initial good work that inflated their ego. Never again did they play a character, THEY show up in the movie.
But honey, if he rubs you right it can't be wrong. Go with it.
Ok, there are a few that I agree with that have already been mentioned so far and that is Kevin Costner and Jennifer Aniston but I have to say that I'm a lil surprised with Keanu Reeves being mentioned. I thought everyone loved Bill & Ted's Excellant Adventure (even tho I didn't) but there are so many of his other movies that I did enjoy. Oh well! So anyway, I want to add Whoopi Goldberg if I can, although a very funny comedian I have never seen her in a movie that she acted remotely well in. There is only one movie that she was in that was good (not because of her performance) and that was Ghost.
uh...... you were surprised with Keanu? I'm surprised with you being surprised. I think everyone liked Bill and Ted because KEANU REEVES=TED LOGAN ..........It wasn't a character.
