Yikes, that's a little harsh. We can't really know what was going on in his head, but I don't think that why he attempted suicide. And it's not that he got my attention more, exactly. It's just now I see him as the "sad clown" - joking on the outside but tormented on the inside. I dunno, can't help it. That's what I see when I watch him in movies now.
can't really add anything, but i must say that Harrison Ford, while not great, but has the gravitas to make things work. Leo is good once you remove him from the pretty-boy hype. Cage is good in the right roles (Wild at Heart, for instance.)
