Sources said Prinze is joining the cast of Fox's "24" as a regular, playing Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) footsteps.
On the real-time drama, whose upcoming eighth season started production Wednesday, Prinze joins fellow new cast additions Anil Kapoor, who plays a Middle East leader; Chris Diamantopoulos, as the president's new chief of staff; and John Boyd as a CTU systems analyst. All of them are regulars, while Jennifer Westfeldt has come aboard as a recurring, playing a a journalist.
Also cast as a recurring on the 20th TV/Imagine series is Nazneen Contractor as Kapoor's daughter.

Wing Commander as a Jack Bauer wannabe? Maybe he'll bring wifey along for a guest shot. She's not doing anything to speak of. Or even She's All That costar Rachel Leigh Cook. I like that idea.

Katee Sackhoff is joining the cast of 24!
The Battlestar Galactica heroine has been tapped to play the series regular role of Dana Walsh, a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU.

Man, I should have been at Comic Con. Kiefer (Jack) , Mary Lynn (Chloe), and Anil Kapoor were all there. Oh, and the girl in the picture, too.
CTU is going to be underground next season, heh, like a bat-cave.

Some nice video links. One thing I learned was that, Chloe was really pregnant during the season between the writers strike and the resuming of the show after. When she moved around in scenes they tried to hide it in different ways.
CTU is going to be underground next season, heh, like a bat-cave.
Like some secret organization? This looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.
