We can only pick one picture for the group, so if it makes it easier than to have votes, I can pick a choice, and we can change it around perhaps, every month, to spice things up?

I like the more obsure Pic 2. It leaves the interpretation completely up to the viewer.

I think that it would be best to circulate the choices to my discretion. My decision is based on the few votes so far. It'll make it a lot easier for everyone, and spice things up a little.
