What's in your queue?

Below is a list of the upcoming anime series in my queue. Some I've seen parts of before (Samurai Deeper Kyo, Saiyuki, Inu-Yasha, etc) but haven't sat down and watched the whole series. I've only been watching anime for a couple of years so I'm basically blindly stumbling through NF recs.

Is there anything in my list that you would recommend I move up to the top or just delete altogether? What anime series do you have in your queue?

After SCHOOL RUMBLE, you might give LOVE HINA a try. I've been trying to buy the OOP Collector's Set on eBay for hte last few months. I haven't seen it years, I absolutely fell in love with HINA and HIS AND HER CIRCUMSTANCES (from the EVANGELION team right after they made Eva).

Speaking of EVA, I'm going back in to that one after I finish up ESCAFLOWNE and STARBLAZERS. I haven't seen it in about 11 years. After all this time I've still never seen the final episode.

I screened LAST EXILE last summer and enjoyed the hell out of it. it's a pretty smart show that doesn't to be smarter than the audience.....like DEATH NOTE (which fails miserably).

I haven't seen any of the X series, but I purchased the movie when it was released ages ago. Taro Rin is one of my favorite anime directors. You might have seen some of his other projects such as DAGGER OF KAMUI, GALAXY EXPRESS 999, NEO TOKYO, METROPOLIS, or PEACOCK KING.

Lupin, is, well Lupin. Every movie or series incarnation is a different variation on the character. My favorites are THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO and WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE.

Oh nice looking B. I still haven't made the time to get past the first episode. Man, it looks good. I wish I could watch more anime while I slept. Hmmm.

I saw The Dagger Of Kamui Sunday..and I can't get that 80's music from the title screen out of my head. I liked Outlaw Star and Lain lot. I just finished Solty Rei and Speed Grapher (which is on IFC now), and both were O.K. I could not get into Salaryman Kintaro at all, even tho I liked the Miike movie. I have Ergo Proxy in my queue now, which sounds good from what I hear from this group. I second B-Independent with The Castle of Caliostro as my favorite Lupin.

I plan to get to ERGO PROXY as soon as I get the other titles out of the way. I've heard nothing but praise regarding the series.

Oddly enough, I didn't like CAGLIOSTRO the first time I saw it....infact, I hated it. Didn't care for it the second time I watched it either. One summer while home from college, I had this weird, overwhelming urge to go buy the VHS. It's rare that the little voice in my head ever speaks to me, but when it does, I listen. That night I threw in the LP vhs copy and the movie finally clicked for me. I much prefer the old Streamline dub to the new dub and even the subtitled version.

Hi! I think I saw one episode of Gungrave and did not continue. I thought it was way to slow and just did not capture me like other anime has. I would recommend Noien, Baslisk, Berserk and Ergo Proxy moved to the top of your queue. These are great series and I'm not sure if you have checked out any of the anime movies yet, but those are a must as well! Hope I was helpful.

Very helpful indeed. I think I'll move some of those up. There's just so much anime out there that it'd hard to tell whether it's good or not. And you can't always go by the fanboi ratings.

Haha, from what I've read I'm gonna have to give Berserk another try. The first disk was very gay. I was uncomfortable needless to say and decided to stop watching. Although the way homie coveted that other guys ass was hilarious. From what I hear it doesn't get really bloody and good till later. Noien was good, watch the special features on the first disk, Baslisk is good (There is also a live action version called Shinobi, watch Basilisk first), and the Skinny on Ergo Proxy is this..... It's great. Just skip the last disk, haha. Ending is very disappointing, not as disappointing as "Death Note" but needless to say, it really doesn't do the rest of the series justice in my opinion.

I have to agree, the first disc on Berserk is really slow, anime is not good and not much action till the last episode of the entire series. However the story line is really good and I wanted more after it was finished. I'm really hoping that they create the anime for the rest of the manga series and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the anime is better this time around.

Well, I had to go and create another account for Anime, but at the top of my queue right now is the "New Fist of the North Star" and the "Get Backers". As for your list darling, I think you should finish School Rumble and tell me how it is, hehe. Neon Genesis is a good next, take Full Metal Panic FUMOFFU off your list, haha. Push Paranoia Agent under or above Neon G E, Next put lain, then Full Metal Panic: Second raid(Provided you've seen the first raid), Ah Samurai Jack next, then deeper Kyo, Inu-Yasha,hellsing, desert punk is hilarious. I haven't seen Saiyuki Reload or the animated Salaryman Kintaro. Seen live action and it stunk. Personally don't like lupin. Solty Rei was great at the beginning but then just got way over dramatic. X is ok. Well If I didn't mention it that means I havn't seen yet, except outlaw star which really isn't a personal favorite but lots of people seem to like it. Um..... Black Lagoon ok too, Last Exile good. Hahaha. If you can make any sense of this, those first suggestions will keep you busy for a while.
