I feel that many people here are lying about their religious beliefs.  The way that they post and the way that they respond to threads that involve belief in a god and any organized religion makes it damn obvious that they are lying about their stated atheism.

You should be ashamed for lying about your religious beliefs.  You should be embarrassed that you still believe in bog - and you should come clean that you are a theist.  Shame on you lairs!

back to mountain's comment, I doubt that many (maybe a couple) of the members have fallen to the belief of an invisible being pulling strings. I think most of us just got bored, or too busy making a difference (rather on relying on invisible creatures to work for us). I, myself, was focusing on finishing up school... but now I have nothing to do but write on here... so I'm coming back! (I think my last comment was ocer a year ago...)

Give credit where credit is due, ET. Sex without guilt??!! Guilt adds something to sex. It makes it dirty, yes -- but spicy, too. I dunno about you, pal. But I suspect you're a bit like me -- all that provocative anime shit is more erotic when it's fraught with shame or cruelty. If that's what you mean when you say the religiosos have screwed up our sex lives, then pass the plate and lemme drop some dough into it.

You're right mountain. I think it's hard to keep a group together when the shared belief is actually a lack of belief in something.

It was this or the Beer wars discussion for my first post here. Where are you guys? You started out good and oh wait have you all been absorbed by some invisible person believing group.

She's right. Dawkins was engaging in ad hominem arguments.

But he's too prissy to make them work. She reminds me of those gals who spend their Happy Hours sitting on bar stools and muttering, "Men are all pricks," into their Manhattans.

You don't reason with such creatures. They don't operate from their intellects, but from their memories and their bile. Just grab her, tell her to "Take a bite outa this," and humiliate and degrade her peroxided ass for an hour or two.

Then, let her spout off that Mankind originated from a Loving Creator.

Better than a primitive lemur I reckon.

I don't have a god. I'm a highly advanced lemur.

Whadizzis"decendedfromlemurs"shit?????!!!!

God created us in His image. He doesn't look like an arboreal Don Knotts with bug-eyes.

Like Einstein said: "God is not a fucking baboon." (Or was it that God doesn't play dice with the universe? Anyway he said something about God.)

And who says lemurs are smart? I played gin rummy with one of those furry motherfuckers and beat him two outa five hands.
