I went to My Account on Netflix because I was going to drop my blu-ray plan. This is what it said at the top of my screen:
Your plan is no longer offered
You currently have Blu-ray access on your plan for $1.00 a month. Blu-ray access on this plan is now $4.00 a month. If you select a new plan, you will not be able to return to this price.
It sounds to me that as long as I remain with my current plan, I will continue to pay $1.00 per month. However, if I change my plan and decide later on to return to my original plan I will have to pay the $4.00 charge and not the $1.00 charge? Does anyone else read this the same way?
hmmm that's interesting, i sure would love it if we were grandfathered into that rate, of course i bet if you ever change your Netflix subscription (however many out at a time), you'll end up paying the new rate.
i guess i won't touch mine and see what happens. I have nothing to confirm your theory but i'm reading that the same way, yes.
You are currently on the 4 at-a-time (Unlimited) for $16.99 plan which is no longer offered. If you select a new plan, you will no longer be able to return to this plan.
You currently have Blu-ray access on your plan for $1.00 a month. Blu-ray access on this plan is now $5.00 a month. If you select a new plan, you will not be able to return to this price.
That message is ambiguous and misleading - it may be that you're grandfathered just for the next month. The email that was sent out clearly states that the new fees will apply unless you cancel your blu-ray option.
