Your favorite British television laughs!!

I love British Comedies, and I'm looking for a group to share the laughs with.
I'm not sure where to start, so how about, what tickles your funny bone?

I was watching something the other day where one of the characters says, "this is like the crystal maze" (excuse my poor memory) and i laughed and laughed. I love all of them in that list but if I had to choose my most favorite I'd say:

Black Adder
Black Books
The Office Series
Coupling

I saw a couple of episodes of Faulty Towers and it was really funny too.

While not a TV show I'd like to mention my favorite stand up comedian who is Welsh - Eddie Izzard:

I think my favorite Black Adder is season 3 because Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Laurie were so great together. Anyone who likes Hugh Laurie as House just must see him as The Prince Regent in Black Adder. It shows how talented he is to play such amazingly different roles and fake an American accent in House - wow! But I love all the Black Adder shows. Just too funny!!!; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by William Gordon on March 18, 2008 at 6:16am: I own a complete set of "The Young Ones" which I originally saw on MTV in the late '80s. It's hilarious and very irreverent. I recently started to enjoy the work of Simon Pegg and his buddy whose name escapes me at the moment, but they were both in the film "Hot Fuzz" (which is excellent) and they worked together on a British sitcom which isn't out on DVD yet, but which I'm looking forward to viewing. Other than that I have a lot to learn about British comedies and look forward to learning more. Stay well. (Or should I say "Cheers" ?).; ▶ Reply to This
