I love British Comedies, and I'm looking for a group to share the laughs with.
I'm not sure where to start, so how about, what tickles your funny bone?
What are some of your faves?
Spaced: The Complete Series - 5 stars. I just finished watching this Simon Pegg comedy and it is brilliant!!! I think the show was on for 2 seasons. Disc 1 has the first season's 7 episodes and Disc 2 has season 2's 7 shows. Here's the NF synopsis:
Slacker 20-something artist Tim (Simon Pegg) and his brooding writer flatmate Daisy (Jessica Hynes) do everything possible to avoid adulthood in this surreal sitcom described by star Pegg as "a cross between 'The Simpsons,' 'The X Files' and 'Northern Exposure.'" Directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead), the edgy series won viewers over with its pop culture references and its arresting sci-fi/horror-style camera work.
Pegg works at a comic book store and Hynes is a writer. They rent an apartment in a house that is listed for professional couples only so they present themselves as a couple to the crazy drunk landlady (kind of a Pats character from Absolutely Fabulous). An artist lives downstairs who creates "anger" art. This is written by Pegg and Hynes and is hilarious. While you need to see both discs to understand the show I thought the second one was better and I'd like to own this. Some of the shows are worth watching again and again.

On Hulu.com - Green Wing - If you watch quirky British comedy you'll recognize actors from Black Books, Coupling, Spaced (well he looks really different but Mark Heap / Brian plays Dr. Alan Statham. I just saw the first show and it was funny. Netflix doesn't have it - probably not on DVD - Thanks HULU.com!
There are a few other British TV comedies on HULU I haven't checked out yet - White Teeth, Magick, Peep Show, and some TV dramas too.

HULU.com just added Season 2 of Green Wing. You can watch both seasons 1 & 2 free online there. This is a really funny show that isn't available on DVD in the U.S.
