What is the first movie that pops into your mind when some starts talking about B-movies. And I'm not talking guilty pleasures or Campy classics, I mean strait up B grade movie.

Mine is Chopper Chicks in Zombietown followed by Hell comes to Frogtown.

The Janitor. It's definitely one of my all time favorite movies, and it is straight up B grade.

Come to think of it I would have to vote for anything Troma! I have yet to see a Troma film that didn't combine cheese, with gore with humor and they've always had at least one scene that either twisted your gut or grabbed your "loin".

:-)

Man I really miss all nighters drive in movie marathons!

Mother's Day and also you say Troma and I say Full Moon and Charles Band fall into this category with all of their movies! lmao

I think Full Moon has a little more class than Troma, after all they brought us the Puppet Master movies and Robot Jox and a slew of other brought to us with much better processing than Troma not that I don't love the Toxic Avenger, and Sgt. Kabuki Man NYPD.

Well one of the endearing qualities of Troma films are their lack of class! And the poorer quality processing only means Velveeta as opposed to individually wrapped slices, sometimes its nicer to be able to indulge in a thicker piece!

:-D

OK so I got bored today and started digging through boxes of junk I have stored and found one full of old VHS movies I had either bought (anyone else remember the days of Columbia House and $70-$80 movies?), or recorded off TV. I ran across a few titles that I haven't seen in ages, but recall were schlocky B-Rate at its best.

Weasels Rip My Flesh

Snuff

Cannibal Ferox

What surprised me even more was that they are available on Netflix! I mean come on! No Howard the Duck, but we can get Weasels Rip My Flesh? And yeah, sigh (shakes fist at studios and lawyers) I know distribution is decided by the holder of the rights and reel, it just drives me nuts.
