Lists?!, did somebody say lists?!!!

Wooo Hooo.....I have one that I've built over the years -- but it's really long, and populated with some pretty trashy 80s movies. I'm at the in-laws in Pittsburgh for Easter, but here are some that I remember:

Harper and its sequal: The Drowning Pool.
Underworld USA - 1961, Samuel Fuler. (Not on dvd, but currently in rotation on TCM)
The Long Goodbye
Farewell, My Lovely and The Big Sleep, both with Mitchum
Marlowe with James Garner (No DVD)
The Late Show
Hammett
Union City
The Bedroom Window
The Driver
Point Blank

Funny that Farewell, My Lovely isn't available, I just downloaded it through a library service.. Holds up way better than The Big Sleep.

"Farewell, My Lovely" just became available as an instant watch on Netflix. They seem to have added about a hundred new "instant watch" offerings overnight, with some links to Starz, and fortunately, this is among them. Watching this will be my reward for finishing another section of a grant proposal (which I am avoiding by posting these messages . . .)

Oh, oh, oh, I want a copy of your long neo-noir list, including the trashy 80s movies! Maybe you've already done this (I'm going back to the start of threads), but if you haven't, please consider posting your long neo-noir list.

I'll pull up my Netflix ratings on a second moniter and see what neo-noirs (not all of which are very good) I can suggest to others, in a different post.

Underworld, U.S.A. just came out with some other Fuller films. The Crimson Kimono is another "new" one of his that's worth a look.

Whoah, I forgot Manhunter. Talk about obsessed heroes.
Charley Varrick
The Friends of Eddie Coyle (Alas, still no DVD)
The Split (Robert Duvall, no DVD)
Thieves Like Us
The Grifters
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
Fargo
The Ice Harvest
Klute
The French Connection I & II
Twilight
Night Moves (Awesome)
and the amazing The Conversation
Lest we forget Dirty Harry and all of his sequels...
Brick Interesting movie, get it if you haven't yet...
Taxi Driver

Here are some more from the trashy 80s category. (Maybe a few from afterwards as well.) I won't include NF links for these as they are widely seen:
To Live and Die in L.A., Relentless, Betrayed, Shattered, Someone to Watch Over Me, Revenge, U-Turn, White Sands, Mike's Murder, Red Rock West, Kill Me Again, Black Widow, Basic Instinct, Black Rain, Final Analysis, Cop (with James Woods), Sharkey's Machine and Hustle (with Burt Reynolds), Best Seller, After Dark My Sweet, Miami Blues, Romeo is Bleeding, The Getaway, 52 Pick-Up, In the Still of the Night, One False Move, Mulholland Falls, Mulholland Drive, Memento, The Last Seduction, Jagged Edge, Against All Odds, Tequila Sunrise, Payback, Sin City.

Hey Bob, that's brilliant! Check your versions of Twilight, (Even though that Iranian film looks interesting as can be), Taxi Driver, and Black Widow.

The Bollywood taxi driver! How did I fall for that? Added Iranian Twilight to my queue, booted it from the list. Try it now.
