I am looking for a film that seen a long time ago. I think it is a foreign film. It was about a woman who was sent to some religious community or covenant who became some sort of religious or sacred prostitute. This woman was unable to get pregnant by the priest so they sent her to some soldier. It was interesting but I never finished watching it.

rosiwy, if you like thought provoking foreign films with political under-current, you should check out Good Bye, Lenin!, Wings of Desire and Carol's Journey.

I go to the theatre about once a year. I hate the over-priced tickets, the cold, loud, "pause-less" viewing, and the uncomfortable chairs. Plus being around that many people makes me uncomfortable anyway. Plus there aren't too many movies coming out now-a-days that I'm that excited to see anyway.

I'm starting to sound like Bill Hick's "hate camel" aren't I? Hahahaha.

I'm not going to the theater as much, but there are some movies that must be seen on the big screen; for example, Dark Knight. Sometimes the action or the scenery or the story are better at the theater.

Currently in theaters and worth a look: Tell No One and Apres Lui

Out of curiosity: How many members still go to a theater to see films? Box office dollars still measure the viability of future distribution for boutique divisions of major studios and independent distributors (and often, dvd release).

flm, Before the Rain was thought provoking and I wouldn't have picked it without your recommendation, so thanks. I have seen Rade S. in a movie or two and he is amazing.

After being kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years, Oh Dae-Su is released, only to find that he must find his captor in 5 days. Awesome Korean film. There are a couple more by the same director, also good.
