I'm in Marietta. I'm like Gunny. I like a little bit of everything.

I live up near Dawsonville, GA. I like all kinds of films too but particularly the really good off beat ones. I like seeing something different. Has anyone seen anything really good this year? So far I haven't.

I joined NF to gain access to a large selection of foreign and independent films. I enjoy watching the occasional B-movie, Sc-Fi or horror film. I grew up living in Japan as a military brat and enjoy watching Japanese films (drama, comedy, J-horror, rubber suit monster, anime).

OK - I'm in. My taste in movies ranges a bit wide. I pretty much love them all. From comedy to drama to sci-fi. I also enjoy a lot of "Hollywood blockbuster" type films, as I long as I know what to expect going in, and there are enough explosions and some gratuitous violence. :)

Baff replied to brian h. arnett's discussion 'mailing blu ray vs standard'
"Interesting, I've never gotten a dvd when I was expecting a blu-ray.  Maybe better quality control at my local distribution center. In the early blu-ray days I did get several shattered discs arrive (I blame that on the post office rather…"

"Yes, thanks for ghostery, that one's very useful. For Firefox users NoScript is a most useful tool. NoScript by deafult blocks all javascript (just like the browser setting), but you can then allow individual sites to run either…"

"Thanks, that is what I wanted to know. I wish there was a way for them to send whatever was available if the blu ray was on the wait list and standard was not."

"Printed my tickets for ST Into Darkness tomorrow.  Posters around the web say its got even more lens flare than the last one.  Oh well.  I don't care, I'm psyched!"

eviltimes replied to brian h. arnett's discussion 'mailing blu ray vs standard'
"While Knalds and Baff are perfectly correct - NF is far from perfect and things don't always work like they are supposed to.  So don't be surprised when the wrong version arrives in your mailbox. Often, at least in my experience,…"

"Oh, I liked it well enough, just wanted more of what he didn't cover, and less of most of what he did.  New stuff is always interesting, and there was plenty of that in this doc. Sorry about the Paul thing.  When I realized it I…"
