Permalink Reply by Jump on April 12, 2011 at 2:27pm Receiving error code n8352. Was discovered that Immunet Protect 3.0 caused this error. Disabling program was not sufficient. Removal of program eliminated the the error and was able to again run Netflix player.
Internet Explorer 8.0
VISTA Home
Permalink Reply by FM on June 12, 2012 at 10:01am There are no devices showing when I click "Manage Devices". It only says "Activate or Deactivate". I don't have Immunet either. Please help! Netflix can't help much except to say 'delete the "is" folder in Silverlight' but it won't delete the folder.
Permalink Reply by Jump on June 13, 2012 at 10:12pm A year ago, Netflix allowed you to remove the addresses of computers that have accessed the account. That feature hase been pared down to just the option you saw. Selecting Deactivate will remove all addresses of any computer that has used your account. As it indicates, after you use this feature you will have to log in again. You could try this if you want.
Was Netflix working before with out any problems?
What has changed since it working and now not?
Have you installed any Windows Updates (these can sometimes cause problems)
Permalink Reply by FM on June 19, 2012 at 9:41am I did try to deactivate the addresses. That did nothing. Netflix never gave me a problem up until about a month ago. Been using it for at least a yr. Haven't made any changes that I'm aware of, but yes I have installed Windows Updates whenever I'm prompted. Why is it I cannot delete the "is" folder as the Netflix staffers keep saying to do? When I try to delete that folder or the Silverlight folder itself, it says access denied (make sure disk is not full or right protected...). This is annoying. I just keep uninstalling/deleting silverlight folder/ reinstalling silverlight...just to get by for a few days before the error comes back.
Permalink Reply by Jump on June 19, 2012 at 5:28pm Reason I asked about Windows Updates, is that I have personally seen issues after an automatic download and install. I now check all the updates before actually installing - no automatic installs.
You might try downloading REVO Uninstaller and using that program to uninstall SilverLite - if in fact it really is creating issues. Then go to MS and download a new clean copy of SilverLite.
Also, if you are using Vista or System 7, you will need to right click on errant folder and select Administrator Rights, when have problems deleting folders. I would try uninstll first.
